Over the last few years Willerby has increasingly adopted the mobile device and taken advantage of its flexibility and efficiency in many areas of the business.

Production Data Recorder

 

Production Data Recorder (PDR) enables production line operators to report quality issues as holiday home units progress down the production lines. Quality managers are able to review faults in real-time and assign rectification teams accordingly.

The PDR app has allowed Willerby to improve the efficiency of the quality management process and has removed the need for separate and lengthy end-of-line inspection & rectification process.

Data generated by the PDR application has allowed Willerby to better identify the root causes of manufacturing faults, allowing them target resources effectively and reduce number of quality issues at source.

   
   
   
   
 

 

Stock Location Manager

 

The Stock Location Manager (SLM) mobile application is used by Willerby to improve the efficiency of their inventory management process.

Willerby typically have upwards of 1500 holiday home units spread across their 90 acre manufacturing site and recording the exact location of each unit by GPS has much improved the inventory management process.

GPS coordinates can be easily updated during the stocktaking process or whenever an individual unit is produced, moved or dispatched. The locations of all units are easily accessed by workers in the yard or by management via associated web pages.

   
   
   
   
 

 

Field Service

 

The Willerby Field Service application is used by customer service agents and field service engineers to manage thousands of site maintenance visits across the UK and Europe.

Field service engineers use the app to download a daily schedule of maintenance jobs and to report the successful completion of tasks or to report any need for further work.

Integrated Health and Safety assessment ensures compliance and helps to ensure the welfare of Willerby staff.

The Field Service application has:

  • Removed the need for paper job sheets

  • Introduced real-time updating of Willerby systems as visits are carried out
